Unreal tournament
Is anyone here playing unreal tournament? If so, what version do you like the best?
I downloaded an unreal demo last night and liked what I saw. From what I have read, UT is one of the best death match games out there - and that is what I am looking for. Steam has 4 different versions or packages for UT: Unreal Deal Pack Unreal Tournament 2004: Editor's Choice Edition Unreal Tournament 3 Black Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition I thought about getting the deal pack, it contains 4 games - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/683/ Any thoughts or opinions? |

UT2K4 is a GREAT lan party game. Note that the games are all mostly just for online multiplayer play. You wont get much out of it playing single player.

I play all of them, UT04 i believe is the best but UT3 is definitely right behind it. If I had a better pc I'd probably like it more

I used to love the original UT. Unfortunately, I bought one of the large in-box packs for $15 last year, and it has TFC syndrome now. If you haven't been playing for years, it's tough to get back into, considering how much better everyone's going to be than you.
UT3 is probably your best bet. I haven't played it, however, so I can't tell you anything about how it is. |

ut3 is amazing and the game modes are very diverse. It has very solid gameplay physics. I'm having a ball with it.

I have been playing the demo, and so far I am impressed.
But, I have not been able to rocket jump. What is a death match game without the rocket jump? |

Don't need it, use the translocator, and quick switch back to rocketlauncher

Ut2k4 is still my favorite. (I played the original UT back in the day, but this just so much better imo.) UT3 isn't really worth it (a lot of it is revised material) unless you have a nice video card.

you cant rjump like you can in tfc/ff, but you can still get a little boost off it. you can also impact hammer jump, but you dont get a huge boost from it either.
i liked ut3, but i really missed the wall jumps and such that was in ut2k4 the graphics were great but the grittiness of all the shit really took away from the visibility that the other games had. ut2k4 was my favorite. ut99 was great and all, but i was only like 12 when it came out, so i got owned a lot. i was a beast in ut2k4 though |

I like the revised advanced options for video settings... haven't been able to play much though, I can only play it at school since their computers are pretty decent where mine is shitty.
