A traffic cop pulls over Werner Heisenberg. He walks up to Heisenberg and asks, “Do you know how fast you were going?”

“No, but I can tell you exactly where I am.”

I would def suggest the staff press liason contacts FilePlanet, 3dGamer and the others to host it. This will not only get you some frontpage coverage on those sites, but also lessen the load. You might not like 'em, but when launching a new title they are invaluable.

The only thing is will they? I mean with Valve ignoring it and SP banning it they may be discouraged from hosting it...

Valve and Steam have no power over what those sites host.

Uh... don't those sites have a lot more NON-Valve-related things? Somehow I don't think Valve would care about a mod for their own game being on those sites when you have to purchase said Valve game to play the mod... Especially given the fact that those sites host files for games in DIRECT COMPETITION with their games.

VALVe has no control over how mods are distributed (Although they would like to).
