Crysis on steam

Should i get it via STEAM, or boxed. i want it via steam, because i want a portion of my money to go to valve, and the rest of it to go to crytek. not some video game store. but, i heard crysis has some problems on steam

i mean both crysis and crysis:warhead

Both Crysis and Crysis:Warhead have a THIRD PARTY DRM on steam which limits installs. Buying the boxed version of Crysis does NOT have this, however the boxed version of warhead DOES.

It's lose/lose.

Who said anything about buying

Seriously, I'd get it boxed. If it wasn't for the DRM, though, I would've chosen STEAM.

yea, i would've torrented it too, but, i want my money to go to crytek, i feel bad for them

also, i heard there is no install LIMIT, but you can only install it on 3 machines. crysis does not have this limititaion, only warhead. what i meant was, is the engine as optimized as the boxed one, and does it have many bugs that are not patched?

wtf... they limit the number of pcs you can install the game on??? That's super ridiculous and contrary to what steam stands for.

...Why would the Steam version have a different engine? And why would Steam be less patched than the boxed version?

because i've seen cases like that on steam. I've also seen cases, in the crysis forums on steam powered, that whenever it autosaves, it crashes. the boxed version is patched.

Torrent it, then send Valve a check.
