If you have trouble with the rock texture by upping it and it still looks weird, try breaking it up by making it a custom blend texture with another rock style maybe? Also, if you are going for cliffs, then make them curve out towards the top a bit more, it will look more realistic. you could also have multiple levels at the top rather than one "wall" which would let you break up the texture... i think the map is beautiful except for that aspect which bumgravy and mlh brought up as well.

Is it possible to make the middle base neutral grey colored, and then either make the textures change to red/blue or have lights come on that are red/blue when one of the teams captures it?

Not only would that be cool, but it would help players determine whose controlling it "at a glance" which is always a good thing. I dunno if lua can do that... or hammer, or wahtever. just a thought.

^^ Hey D3pth.

I've been planning on adding a large indicator on the advantage base so that it's easy to identify who's in control of it.

And I definitely agree with all three of you with the outdoors. I really like the idea of adding multiple levels, that's something I might try if I find it's not taking too long. I should be able to get a few hours in tonight, between hockey and social events, hopefully I can start to put some finishing touches down.
