ff_cacti lua help

For ff_cacti I'm basically using dustbowl's lua, with a few minor changes.

In ff_cacti, I have an ambient generic in the map named warnnoise that's supposed to play a sound when the gates are 60/30/10 seconds from opening. But when I run the map the sound I have specified in that ambient_generic doesn't play, and the regular default noise plays instead. Based on the dustbowl lua, could someone tell me what part of the lua is triggering the sound that actually plays, and why my ambient_generic isn't being triggered?

I can't seem to figure it out...

Edit: I have the same exact question about an ambient_generic named startnoise.

I'd like to hear this as well, because I have not been able to get custom sounds to play without editing existing files. I basically want the same thing you do, just for a different reason.
