Fast Downloads Tutorial not correct.

ANSWER: The above statement was correct in its claim, however my Web Service Provider (brinkster) has limited file extension support, and must have a request sent to them for the allowance of these special extensions. So although my Server was configured correctly, and my Web Space has the appropriate files stored, Fast Downloads did not work. Because the .bsp, and .bz2 extensions were blocked, when you attempted to connect to the server and download the files, you became denied access to download because the Web Service Provider blocked all files with these extensions.

This may want to be added to the Fast Downloads Tutorial, as a FAQ, or Troubleshooting answer to help people out. ZIP helped me out so much. I am in debt kind sir.

did you restart the server?

Google for sv_downloadurl and make sure your configs are correct, too.

I just checked the Server config and it seems fine.
Did you added soundscapes and materials/vgui/loadingscreens as well?

i believe it is my provider they dont give me .bz2 persmissions

Ya we just got it working for him. He just had to have the permissions enabled from his hosting provider.
