Took my kids camping
Had a wonderful time. Got lost like 4 times in the dark on purpose to show my son how to use a GPS and Compass.
The 40 degree comfort rating on my sleeping bag is a LIE!!! The brand new hammocks did not come with a way to attach them to a tree, so we braided some string into a cord for one hammock and used cinch down straps on the other hammocks. And a video of the hammocks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEpv0nvn67A |

So you were outdoors in your bags? Not even a tent?

No tents on this trip.
I put up a tarp shelter over my kids hammocks. Just in case we got a rain they would be dry. I will be uploading some pictures to photobucket soon and will post some pix. |

I don't know, I had a mummy bag when I was younger and I was ALWAYS warm in it. Even when I woke up with snow on my face-shield.

Oh man I love going camping. I just wish I had a GD boat so I could do some fishing at one of the many lakes in NE Oklahoma... A nice big pontune boat would be good, although I'd have to put a speedboat engine in it.

Maybe you had duck down. Mummies are warmer, anyway.

When I was a kid, my sleeping bag was made of duck fat. It was 1338.

I'm a big naturalist (as in an wildlife enthusiast and conservationist), and would really enjoy living in the wilderness (like season one of Lost!!). I'm also stuck here in a highly polluted city of light, so I hope you got to enjoy watching the heavens in all its glory.
