explosion shake
Hoping for some advice. As a sniper i rely on nice steady accurate shots. This can get a little difficult to do when a load of grenades are going off underneath the sniper area. Makes the screen shake something hideous. Is there a cfg setting to minimise this or get rid of completely?
Seems a little unfair that if a war is going on underneath the sniper deck, it makes sniping that much harder. Anyone know? |

Ah, don't have much experience with demoman stuff. How long does it last? On well last night, i had a 45 second shakeathon with world war 3 going off down below.

i think hes right if the rockets/nades are going off right on the ceiling as they will sometimes it can shake your screen being on the other side of the floor imo but i dont play sniper so dont really notice it

does the detpack make the whole map shake or a radius area?
cuz you can move as far as you can away from where the detpacks are going off, i think, on maps like ff_well by getting on the roof. or something. |

That happens in the small curvy sniper hideouts as well? Surely those grenades down below shouldn't bother you if you get on the very top roof.

I was gonna make a new thread and found this one.
I wanted to know if you could turn off the shaking screen from explosions too. As a demoman the pipes make it happen and it's disorienting...I know it's for excitement and realism, but it throws me off |

Pipes do it? That's... that shouldn't be happening.

not as big as the detpack shake, but there is a very tiny shake when you have rockets going off right near you.

I think I noticed it in a large game, and with more explosions it has a greater effect. When I just noticed it by myself it was very small. it can't happen while jumping, so if it gets bad I could do that until it settles down while piping |

honestly what would you expect in a WAR? There should be rumbling and explosions below you if there is rumbling and explosions going on below you...

Aside from the detpack (which adds to its epicness) I don't think any explosions should shake the screen.

But usually if you hear a slash followed by a grunt, or the sound of the Heavies AC winding up, you'd get shivers, but it's not a shake, off topic.
