That's it, I'm going back to Nokia and staying there.

Are there any software or hardware downsides, jojo?

The e70 is badass I wish my store still carried it. It's a great phone. Plenty of features, reliable, and cheap for what it does. Considering the Razr2 (v9) is $429.99 outright and doesn't do anything special. It's only claim to fame is sound cancelation. Which is cool, but not worth 429.99 in my opinion.

Those are all outright costs. When you sign a contract, or purchase a pre-paid phone you get crazy massive discounts. Your phone's outright cost was probably around $220 (USD, within 50$). To give you an idea.

Take into consideration the fact that my E65 is running on old firmware because I don't have the cable to hook it to the computer and that's the only way to upgrade the firmware.

The battery life is a little on the low side and the symbian operating systems sometimes feels a bit slow but nothing that bothers me to much.

The phone is durable as can be, has a ton of features, and is really customizable. I don't know if the E70 has it but there is a key called the OWN Key which you can setup to do just about whatever you want it too. Whether it's launch a website or use the neat message reader. I love when a British robot reads my text messages aloud.

I haven't read any comparisons yet comparing the E65 to the E70 so all my opinions are based off the E65. I'm going to look into them more though because I think I might like the QWERTY keyboard. My E65 doesn't have a flash on the camera which also kind of sucks but it takes really awesome videos.

For one of my classes we have to create our own project basically and I'm thinking about doing a project which involves the Nokia PC Suite program and using it to organize everything for me by inputting stuff into the calendar on my computer and syncing it all up to my phone. Making it so my phone reminds me that I need to study for a test or get an assignment done.

Also with the WLAN on it if you are around areas with wifi mostly then there is no need for a data plan since you can piggy back.

Also no one ever recognizes me phone (I live in the States so I know the carriers here don't carry it) but it does get some "Whoa what phone is that?" when I use it sometimes.

Sounds good, sounds very good.

And what about 3th party software, are there any interesting things I should consider downloading?

I haven't looked to deep into 3rd party applications. Get Nokia PC Suite though. You can sync up your phone to your computer through bluetooth or a cable and it's really neat to organize your calendar/schedule and files on your computer and have your phone automatically update to that.
There are lots of little things like threaded SMS converation addon. So if you text alot it'll thread your texts similar to an instant message program.
There is a 3D version of the snakes game that is really fun and cool. The last level is really freaking hard though.

Crap, something went wrong with my order and it seems an E70 is VERY rare to come across in Belgium! Maybe I should order straight from Nokia risking a few 100 bucks more in price...

No dice, no store in Belgium has it...

*edit* CRAAP! The E90 communicator has about the same functions, but is about DOUBLE in price!

BLING! I found a site that has the E70, and ordered one!
They were so kind to provide the phone for me, alltough it's no longer available in Belgium, and I have to get a UK/EU Continental Power Adaptor, but I don't care!

And I also found a youtube video of how to open it up w/o damaging any parts:
