server
Thanks for that but I had already looked at that forum and it seams that person is perplexed about it as myself.
I will post something up on the steam forums as soon as I get given access too. I dont think this is a problem with FF but rather a prob with srcds. Bit of a tricky one though. |

Well i got pretty much the same problem here
I tried doing many things like making a symbolic links to the srcds bins, reinstalling the server, updating glibc, and so on...just to be vain. finally i got my server working under following circumstances: 1. remove any "server.cfg" 2. Do not execute any cfgs and i noticed when i run a server at tickrate 33, everyone's ping will hop once or twice in the first map. Its gonna be ok after that though Last edited by uNleashed; 09-16-2007 at 04:04 PM. Reason: typo |

just like some other guys are arguing on other thread,
you can use cfg/valve.rc to set cvars you want, I'm doing this way at the moment :] hope its gonna be solved quickly |

Well someone on the steam forums told me to run ./steam update command line again with the -verify_all flag.
After doing that.. it worked!. |

I had the same problem
I ran into the same thing on my linux server. I had to delete the bin directory from my source install and then rerun an update:
./steam -command update -game "hl2mp" -dir /home/subversion/source_server Apparently my vphysics_i486.so was corrupted or not completely downloaded, so redoing the whole bin directory fixed it. I found the solution in some obscure French gaming forum. |
