strange model problem
In the game, half of the player models seem to be shiny white. Soldier, scout, demo, sniper are perfectly fine, but medic, engy, hwy, pyro, spy arent. Here's a picture:
my pc is: a64 3500+ x850 xt pe 2 gb ram I tried: reinstalling the game, downloading it from a different place messing around with video settings Anyone know what this could be? And how do I fix it? |

I think there are some mat_ / dx forcing commands that help with this, but I don't remember them off the top of my head. I seem to remember caesium mentioning them yesterday, but it could have been someone else. In any case, I'm sure someone will come along and let you know soon

I would say try one of these methods to force your DX to another level. That card should be DX9.0
Force DX level |

The problem is bumpmap and specular were somehow turned off
In the console type: mat_bumpmap 1 mat_specular 1 You might have to change mat_bumpbasis but to default I can't remember that value, so try those two for now. |
