I don't!
I've given up. Can someone please explain it? I've looked around everywhere.
I downloaded the Server files...where do they go?
I've tried putting them in where my tfc folder is in dedicated server and also inside of source dedicated server, but when I pull up dedicated server or sourced dedicate server, fortress forever is not listed in either.
I've tried put the command line into the launch options, but that hasn't worked either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

did you run hldsupdatetool.exe??? if you did, then you have your main folder with the server files ? EXample: C:\HL2server
just unzip the fortress forever and you will see FortressForever folder
put it into main directory.
C:\HL2server\FortressForever
that will be the structure.
then create shortcut on your desktop to .exe file in main directory and change the shortcut to reflect -game FortressForever
and it will pull that mod
I never ran source server before for HL2, so it was easy to figure out by installing and testing HL2 deathmatch server, just like fortress forever it has a hl2mp folder inside the main server files folder. So any mods or games you just create another folder inside. don't forget to put server.cfg inside the FortressForever folder

I had not. I was thinking it would run from the Dedicated Server or Dedicated Source Server links in Steam.
Just before checking back here, I had a hunch I needed the HLDS Stand alone, so started downloading it.
Makes much more sense now.
Thanks for the reply!

Getting this when trying to load maps:

Mod_LoadBrushModel: maps/ff_dm.bsp has wrong version number (1347633750 should be 30)

Any ideas?

I ran and updated the hldsupdate tool with tfc in the slot for game name.
It ran and said it was up to date.
I created a shortcut to hlds.exe and added:
-console -game FortressForever -port 27017 +maxplayers 16 +map +exec server.cfg
When I first tried to run it, the console tried to start and I got:
Host_Error: Couldn't get DLL API from .\FortressForever\dlls\hl.dll!

My FortressForever folder didn't have a dll directory, so I copied the one out of the Valve directory, because it had the hl.dll
When I start it that way, the console loads and sits there without a map loaded.
When I go to load a map, I get the previously post error.
If I put the starting map in the shortcut, I just get the error right away.

Am I doing something wrong??? Seems like it's trying to load the wrong maps for the wrong mod is all I can find.

Windows FF dedicated server install

Download the Windows HLDS Update Tool
Install the hldsupdatetool
Run the following command at a dos prompt or run box:
Code:
c:\path\to\hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game hl2mp -dir c:\path\to\install
Download the fortress forever windows server package
Unzip the fortressforever.zip to the root folder of the new game server
Make a shortcut to the srcds.exe
Edit it and add the following line
Code:
-console -game FortressForever +ip x.x.x.x -port 27015 +maxplayers 20 +exec server.cfg +map ff_well
You can also add the following switches to the end of the line if you desire:
Code:
 -tickrate 33 +fps_max 250
FF is not currently optimized to run on a boosted server. Do not use a higher setting than 33 until FF team says it is safe. Some people have said 66 works but I have not confirmed.
