I don't like the sound of stratocasters. The tone he gets there is awful.
You don't really need to be able to see to play most musical instruments, guitar included so I don't think that's much of a factor. Most guitarists aren't watching the fretboard while they play. He makes quite a few mistakes but he is good for a 12-year-old (looks older, may well be older.) Thing is there are a load of good, amateur guitar players out there. The skill isn't playing it so much, what sets you apart is coming up with it in the first place. |
