FF Server Specs.........
I am going to be hosting my own (TYB) server once FF is released so my bandwidth upgrade is coming very soon. Also I am wondering if an older Dell Poweredge 1300 PIII 1gb RAM Win 2k memory is going to be enough to push the game. Has anyone tested the beta game on some older hardware or what has everyone beta tested the games on so far?
dh

If you can run a CS:S server, you'll be fine running FF.

Not currently running a CS:S server..........
not big on counter strike and I havent even bought it since I was way to emotionaly involved with BF2. I am looking into getting one setup but if I can just match the CS:S Server specs then that should not be a problem.
Thx dh

My specs:
athlon 2500+ 1gig ram radeon 9600 XT And i get like 40-60 fps, less with dustbowl spam etc. But bear in mind there are still optimisations missing like LOD models etc. I think the general feeling is that if you have a rig like 3-4 years old (like me), you'll probably want to upgrade for FF. Server side, the CPU usage is more intensive than CS:Source, but its hard to tell just how much more until we have some bugs fixed. |

Well if you have HL2DM try running a dedicated server for that and see how it handles it.
