But it's also possible that concmap_r for FF would be insanelly easy if the conc gets much more powerful. But who would like that? I would rather guess that it will be made less powerful. How hard can it be, I mean it's not rocket science where talking about. A usual skill map has a lot of error margins. You have a concussion grenade which emenates an impulse in spherical fashion. This impulse can push you or others, like in TFC. Isnt this the obvious characteristic of a conc? Will they change priming? Maybe it will beep 5 times insted of 3. Not likelly! Will the relation between gravity and concussion force change? Not likelly very much. Make it less powerful and its useless, make it much more powerful and its useless. So the features we need to know about the conc is roughly: _ priming method _ detonate time from priming _ conc force and how far it extends _ gravity problems The biggest problem is to estimate the differance between FF and TFC in the the way the players propell in mid air. I would say that the error margins in a typical easy or medium hard skill map allows a mapper to make an FF skillmap. Specially if that mapper has insight into the engine. |

hence: quad_rocket3 NN seemed inpossible at the time, but it proved quite the basic map for the people wanting to become more advanced, much like concmap_exist for concers and many more examples ofcourse |

I am, with another person, going to start designing a conc map for FF in the near future. It will have 3 levels of difficulty, and will revolve around the same jumps.

I do not plan on making a concmap for Fortress Forever...
It depends; if Fortress Forever has the abilities TFC does in terms of concing, I will make one, if not, then I shall stick to CTF (AvD is shite :P) |

You can't make skills maps until all variables are set, something which doesn't happen until close to the end of development cycles. (Especially likely in this game, because movement is so important.)

I also follow E-Sports. Trust me, tfc(tf2/ff/whatever-fortress) will not become an e-sport. |
