Texture Problem
Ok so when I try to add new textures I can find them in Hammer but theyre all t purple checkered

They're checkered in-game or in Hammer?
If in-game, make sure the textures are actually in your game.

there was a problem with the textures when it was compressed... Most of that 18000 texture pack was destroyed, so you can't do anything, sorry

the entire Acrux or whatever pack is all checkered in hammer for me

Did you unpack them to the right place? If the name of the texture shows up it means that the .vmt is in the right place at least. It does matter where the .vtfs go in your game directory.

yea they show up in hammer just that the entire pack is checkered in hammers texture browser

Look in the .vmt and make sure the .vtf is where it wants it.

ok i dunno what i done but now they show up...i deleted them from my folder then re-extracted them and bam they show up...
try that bingo i dont know why that worked but its worth a shot... note: i had tried this before i dont know why it worked now |

Yea, the problem had most likely to do with incorrect vmt/vtf paths. I'm glad you got it to work.
