Turkey burgers?
I searched around the forums for a bit and couldn't find anything on this so I thought I'd just ask here. I've been a huge fan of Team Fortress from the very begining. One of my favorite maps was definitely turkey burgers, and the newer one which I believe was named turkey burgers 2000, or something like that. Anyone who's a fan of TFC should know of these maps. I'm just wondering if there are any plans on making one for Fortress Forever? This was not a stock map that came with the game, but it was VERY popular on a lot of servers. Anyway, I'm just curious. Would be a neat looking map with source.

I haven't palyed HL2 DM in quite sometime. I had no idea that map existed for it!! That is freaking Sweet! I'm glad you posted that! I'm sure that wouldn't be too hard to switch over to FF. Wow.... I'm gonna have to go home now and install HL2DM just so I can play that map. lol
Thanks again! |

I find turkeyburgers to be quite shit. I'm more of a fan of the first 3 rats maps.

I thought it was a fun map, especially the 2000 or 2002 version of it, whichever it was called. But I think it was the first rat map for HL & TFC that I had played. Before that, the only "rat" map I had played was for Duke Nukem 3D. Later I had found the other "rat" maps and they were neat as well. I mainly just wondered if there would be any versions of that type of map for FF. I think they're kind of neat.

Thanks for the link! I've did some searching around and didn't realize there were so many "rat-like" source maps around. I only rememberd a couple from HL and TFC days. I will definitely have to get HL2DM installed again and play some of these. I really liked them. Still would be neat to play this in FF. I know some people may not like it though. It's just basic DM and doesn't really bring the capture the flag and fast passed game play that others seek in Team Fortress.

I dislike HLDM type maps for TFC... the flow is all wrong... being as they were made for HLDM, not TFC...
same for turkeyburgers |

Turkeyburgers was a great sniping map.
de_rats was good but the TFC version was pretty awful (mostly just because all the doors were too narrow for the extra traffic) |

Well I know some people wouldn't like it. As I said, it really is not a traditional TFC map. You don't play it the same and it has no objectives. There is no fast paced game play. Just run around and kill anyone you see like any other DM game. But I was always big into sniping and had a ton of fun doing it on that map. But I didn't even know the maps like it were on source already for HL2DM. I started playing that again last night, pretty fun. I still would enjoy playing it on FF just for the hell of it.

oooh I definately want a remake of turkeyburgers for FF. I enjoyed it and the 2000 version much more than I did rats, as it was more of a darker type location than rats, therefore, much better sniper map. Although I dislike the fact that you hold down the fire button when sniping to charge it up. But that aside, I'd like to see this remade in FF. It was also good for spys.
