Its not dead, they've put too much blood, sweat and tears into it to let it just croak. I can't blame them in the slightest for keeping shut up since they were hacked, no reason to let someone do it again.

For some reason I misunderstood what "HL2 Episode 1" was. At first I wasn't going to play HL2 becuase I hadn't completed HL1. So I got HL2 Episode 1. I thought that it was the remake of HL1. But my best friend explained to me that I was wrong. That HL2 Ep1 was more of an expansion of HL2.

After my friend set me straight, now I have two games on hold. HL2 and HL2 Ep1 will be on hold until Black Mesa comes out (soon HL2 Ep 2 will also be on hold). Of course I could just play HL1, but no! The graphics suck (compared to newer standards).

So many "HL"'s in those paragraphs! should just make short hand:

1 (half life 1)
2 (half life 2)
2a (half life 2 episode 1)
2b (half life 2 episode 2)

Erm, no need to... This is HL1 remake, there's an OPFOR being remade and I'm 99.9% sure someone's doing Blue Shift.

you really should play the original, tyrus, since Black Mesa will have a lot of new/different stuff

plus i doubt BM will have good movement code like hl1

op4 is no longer being remade, the team disbanded. Blue Shift has 2 mods out, one is a port of the original, the other a sequel.
