Combining these tutorials ought to be able to let you create something usable.

http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorial/Lava-Texture/11964
http://www.tutorials-photoshop.com/textures/mush.php
http://www.thebest3d.com/dogwaffle/t...res/index.html

I managed to create this in what not 2 minutes tops. And it's seemless/tilable.

Allthough you'd most likely want an animated one. I have no idea how to animate lava to make it realistic. Might just make small adjustments to the layers and save a whole bunch of images to create an animated sequence out of.

Give it a go.

I've never seen a good lava texture. They all look like the result of some lame photoshop filter, which is what they are. What you need is photorealism. Get a camera, and get on a plane to Hawaii.

Look, no one ever said art was easy.

It isn't too hard to create textures in Photoshop, and if you just use Photoshop filters then you deserve to end up with a bad texture and should also be shot. All you really have to do is use a combination of photographic textures (mud etc.) and colouring and blending methods.

Weetabix Gold is a con. It doesn't taste any different and the colour change is pointless; buy Oatabix instead.
