It's gotta be a server issue, so I'm not sure that the FF team can do a lot about it. The forums load fine for me for most of the day, it's just around 9pm-12pm that things slow to a crawl.

Yah, no kidding, I was surfing last night about 10:30, took nearly 5 minutes to bring up the forums. I'd never had that problem before either, course, I don't usually browse the forums that late.
Where is the hosting server located? Maybe its that time that they do maintenance and restarts. |

It's possible. The server's in the UK, right? Burstfire? Why it only gets slow when it gets later is beyond me. Maybe they do regular maintenance at 3-5am GMT?

All the NA people must be flooding the link across the Atlantic. That's the only possible explaination.

There are way more people on around now than there are when the forums tend to get slow, so I don't think that's it.

Ah, but are those people on now mostly from the other side of the Atlantic?

A couple times last night it wouldn't even load. Like I'd get the "cannot connect with forums.fortress-forever.com" error.

Well aren't you cool over in England with the web server.
So you think that your "The FF Forums always work fine for me" makes you better then us over in America, hu? Well, it does. But being in America does make us better then those damn Canadians. Ya, right at your face French Toast! |

I only wish that I could start pointless wars, pay for my doctors visits, spend ages in jail for being caught with pot etc...

EDIT: "I'm completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death."
That's it. |

Oh don't worry, you'll be there before too long. It gets passed around, like AIDS or fruitcake.

Broken bones are overrated. I used to just get the pops to look at it and wrap dat shit up.
Guess it helps when your dad works in radiology and your moms a nurse. Texas just needs to be its own damn country, that way we can hang out with the Canadians and smoke to peace. Oh yeah, and we'll purchase a dedicated line to the FF server so that we get premium rates. |
