Eww...
The new forums are gross. I'll give it a second chance with the new skin but after that I don't think I'll stick around if it is still this bad. Why did the change happen in the first place? Everything was great with the old one.

I'm gonna have to agree with you on that one Sobe...
I don't understand why you'd want to use vBulletin; unless you don't like the open-source-ness of phpBB2 forums and are cautious of hacks, which can be done on vBulletin just as easily. |

I'd say because it's a lot better from an admin point of view (security, development, customisation).
That and general features like quick reply, quick edit, etc. lol at crying cos it hasnt been skinned yet, give him a break. |

Since the old skin is going to be ported (just saying this in case you haven't read the annoucement at the top of the page) i doubt that we're going to notice any big difference.

phpbb is terrible for adminning with, and one of the top 5 worst exploited php web applications ever.
although damn the default vB looks ugly! |

I hate the new forums too. I visite a few other forums as well and I always like the ones that have the same format as the older forum did. The ones that use this style, apparently called vBulleting, I think suck.
Oh well, maybe FF the game will make up for it. |

And the skin is no fun due to fixed margin. Aww, I lose. |

I don't get it. He's making the point that the other one was fine and now it's all... ugly.

I disagree, It seems SoBe was saying that because the forum doesn't look nice (to him) he might leave and hence stop posting, which is, quite frankly, a childish view of things.

Well, I won't leave, but I'll whine
Ohhh, there's a minimum 10 characters per post. That means no more "lol fgt" from the Howling Man! I love these forums!! |

Yeah, I was thrown for a loop when I first brought up the FF forums. Oh well, time to get used to a new face again.

It's a little different, but not enough that I can see saying it's omfgz terrible or anything. I kinda like the extra profile and post options, actually. Once there are most skins available (why not have a few to choose from?) I think we'll love it. Btw, since you can now choose to not see avatars, there's really no reason not to let us have normal 100x100 sized ones you know... |

I have to say these load up quite a bit faster for me, albiet ugly as most of the guys that post on them.
And FB needs to add an arcade to these things, give us some not-so-friendly competition! |

Its all a matter of getting used to it. I'm actually starting to like the hybrid mode thing.
