Challenge to TML
According to this thread - http://www.fortress-forever.com/foru...ad.php?t=15473
TML thinks playing against pubs is a waste of time. A challenge is issued to TML for a 4 on 4 or a 5 on 5 match. The map will be 2fort5 - the one that looks like the classic TFC 2fort5. Allow me a few days, maybe a week or so to gather my waste of time "pub" players for a match. I have a few people in mind, emails and messages have already been sent out. When the team has been organized for a match, I will let you know. And I promise you, we will not be wasting your time. Or if you want to do a TFC match, that would be fine also. So take your pick - TFC or FF match on 2fort5. Last edited by ~kev~; 04-10-2008 at 03:41 PM. |

This is a much better place for a thread like that!
However you don't get it really. Playing against the random people who are in your server in a structured match is like trying to train a cage full of deaf elephants to preform in a ballet. You just can't do it. Pub players do not listen and rarely play what / how they are told. It does not matter if your team is on one team b/c O running against 3 pub players is soo much different then O running against 3 clan players. and even if they are your own team and your just playing the same guys over and over it's still better then playing against the elephants. Your idea is kind of on the right track in that playing against each other over and over isn't going to be as valuable as playing against other players. BUT those other players simply can not be pub players. You should practice alone and either scrim or play in pickups to test out your strats...pubs just aren't the solution. AND you getting "pub" players together and organizing them isn't the same either...your essentially making a clan and scrimming them at that point.

Its not proper to issue a challenge inside of another challenge thread - that is called hijacking. Quote:
This thread is between TML and I. And I really do not appreciate everyone posting in it. Unless your name is TML, you have no business posting anything in this thread!! |

It's not an insult dude it's a straight up fact...trying to scrim against a group of pub players is a waste of time...there is no argument, you are wrong.
Also fellas will crush you, but again...if your picking guys who are good that don't clan then your not picking pub players your making a clan. The whole fact is that in a pub your going to get maybe 1 / 2 guys who are good and 12 that are worthless...of course if you get the 1 guy and then go to another pub and find another good guy til you have 5 you will be a decent team, but that's not a pub it's a scrim... I challenge you to not prepare for this...give a date to the clan and then on that date find 4 other guys that are playing in that server. Tell them they are scrimming and try to win. That would be the real test.

Lol I'm getting a kick out of this.
Honestly I think this is great, this doesn't have to be a negative experience guys. It could be fun, clanning doesn't have to always be so straight and narrow. Keep in mind not all pub players are morons either. There are many out there that know how to pay attention and listen and communicate they just choose not to play in a clan. I've seen quite a few players pubbing lately that have skills that rival some of the clanners out there. Kev pm'd me requesting that I play for him, I responded with my own explanation as to why they prefer locked doors, but regardless I've accepted his invitation and I hope he finds a few other good guys to add to the team. This could be fun I look forward to the scrim Quote:
Obviously the clan has the advantage because they've got their strats and their practicing. |

true, but I still think it's not the same as just locking down the server with the guys you have in there.
Still I think it will be pretty cool

What a dumb thread. lol
Organizing something and pubbing, two different things. Did you even consider they were working on their strat and not all about just playing right away? or who should be playing which positions? It's impossible to talk as a team with a shitload of people that refuse to pause or wait while they work things out. When your team is looking to pound the fuck out of people or use a couple as fillers to simulate a regular sized match, then it's feasible to use some pubbers. But when you're practicing a map as a team.. ah fuck it everyone's already told you and you're not gonna hear it. How about this dude, let TML pick your teammates out of a pub and see how that goes. |

Hammock has accepted my request, I have one more player, he just dont know it yet - so as of right now I have 3 players including myself. So my team needs 2 or 3 more players. If you are not going to be part of this challenge, then stay out of this thread. |

I prefered 2fort because I have played so many matches on it. I was looking through my TFC screen shots last night and some of them go back over 2 years. Those were good times.
Ok, so no one likes that version of 2fort - so what map then? |
