HL2:EP2 (incl. TF2)delayed again
You can read for yourself here:
http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/762/762203p1.html They are saying Winter 2007 now but good news for FF I guess in building a community and becoming established first. |

haha so much for the point of episodic content that was supposed to not make you wait ages between installments.

I think that model works well if you are just releasing over steam. However, with episode 2 they are also releasing all of HL2 to PS3 and Xbox360. I'd be willing to bet this extra delay is tied into that.
Anywho, there is already a thread on this. It's also been confirmed that they are shooting for Fall, not Winter. http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...8&postcount=82 |

I hope this doesn't slacken the pace of ff's development, which it inevitably will.

Don't shoot the messenger a PR release is a PR release... Voodoo Extreme are pretty reliable from my experience.

Actually, I already knew it was winter and not fall. Get the right information next time. As for the one insulting me, go out for a walk, you'll be in a much better condition once you come back.

And making snide comments is going to help things along? Or is it just to make you feel better?
You're not the only one frustrated with the lack of progress, but things have picked up recently. The devs want the game out more than the players want to play it. |

Fuck, if you'd been working on something for over 2 years, wouldn't you want a break? Even a month or two off after release and quick bug squashing would most likely be a welcome relief.

i made a snide comment in response to your attempt at being witty. if you'll notice my original comment simply said that it's natural for them to be a little more lax in deadlines with the knowledge that tf2 is not breathing down their necks. they might say it has tf2 has no effect on this mod, but it surely does.

no shit. that home stretch is always the worst, when you know its close to done but you have to go over all the little shit to make sure its tip top. you just want to get it the fuck out of there, but refuse to sacrifice your integrity in order to do so. (at least thats been my experience when writing music) |

It wasn't an attempt. It was pure genious.
And I believe Cpt Planet was more like "by your powers combined." It had nothing to do with naysayers. But yeah, anyways. |
