what would be good to know is the integrity of the game. like what to look for. there are many things i could look for, but if the problems been solved ya kno no need in repeating what someone already said. truth is open beta testing does not count as beta testing. its kinda like hey... yeah come look at the game and we will HOPE you give feedback.

their method of locking down the amount of people is a good idea. i put that i have no expierence in beta testing because i know open betas do not count. regardless.

With no doubt they will most likely be using a web-designed program to report and explain bugs, so at the least it will require a player with common intelligence in order to use the search button to see of any "like" bugs have been found.

Course out of all the testing I've done, Unreal2 XMP had the best system, but by the time I joined the testing, it was just about complete(And no one played the game anyways.)

They should have a forum that can only be seen by devs and testers, and the testers submit bug reports in there. Therefor, the search system is already in place, and all you have to do is play with the forum masks.

What would really be nifty is some way of getting a complete snapshot of what the engine was doing at some point, that would basically eliminate the guesswork from reproducing bugs since you could just boot it up in the SDK and watch everything go through frame by frame. It's probably never going to happen until we have some sort of crystalline based limitless quantum flux capacitor processor coming standard with every computer but it's a nice pipe dream.
