The real MIRV

While I was reading about TFC on Wikipedia, I came across this article:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIRV

Apparantly, the MIRV is a real weapon, but not in the way you might think.

A MIRV is a nuke.

Specifically, a bunch of nukes launched from one missile.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...le-testing.jpg

This is a picture of a Peacekeeper (U.S. Missile) MIRV being tested. Each one of the eight lines represents one of the submunitions deployed from the main missile. Each one of the submunitions can explode with 25 times the power of the Hiroshima bomb.

Cool and scary at the same time.

Yes the MIRV'd 10 warhead nuclear long range.........

ballistic missiles. The Tzar was the first one the was ever exploded at 50 megatons but there would be no way in hell that they could ever get one that size over to the US. It was to heavy and too slow and would be shot down easily by any of the worlds powers. Now the peacekeeper could actually (with just one) wipe out the entire infrastructure of Irans main cities. That is with just ONE MIRV'd missile. That is some raw nuclear power right there.
