(Comedy)Red Vs. Blue: What does it mean?

Sometimes, when you get bored in FF like I do during those slow moments as a spy, your mind wanders about.

"Who are Red and Blue? Why don't they get along? Why are they fighting each other and for what?"

Well, we know that in real life, there are two major conglomerates: Halliburton and Dyncorp. Both of them are very powerful, but they have different aspirations, as it would seem, if they consisted of the two sides in FF.

Halliburton is big on oil. Thus, they would do whatever it takes to gain wealth, and for years, they have been fighting to gain valuable property for those natural oil resources. In this respect, they are the "Attackers" or "Aggressors". So they would represent RED. Also, that is their main theme color if you visit their website as a bonus.

Dyncorp is a multi-faceted corporation that most notably deal with logistics and SECURITY. They serve to protect, but when their property and resources are threatened by Halliburton, they have to take action and defend, or else, they'll go out of business. So they are really the Defenders, so they represent BLUE. And the color theme on their official website is also blue. How odd is that?

Thus, the only way the feud between these two corporations would be settled by is WAR. Both corporations hire people like you and I to serve them as armed specialist troops, such as sollies, HW guys, and engineers. And boy, they make MUCHO DINERO, because both corps pay them a shitload for their specialties, plus many lucrative pay incentives to include danger pay and retention bonuses! But it's not for the faint of heart...many have died fighting that eternal war.

It even gets more insane that there's maps such as 'xpress_b1' where Halli and Dyn have to fight in the heavens to prove to the Mulch God which one is superior.

So now, I know why Red and Blue fight each other, and why the war won't end. But it's awesome entertainment to the Mulch God...

Anyway, this is just an interesting twist in what could be a great fan fiction story. If any of you guys who work at those two corporations or have relatives that do, I really wasn't being serious. They both do different stuff and have nothing to do with each other...really.

I understand that your story is fictional, but I'd figure I'd straighten up some facts anyways

Halliburton isn't an oil company, it's a service company. They perform drilling and completions but aren't actually seeking the land or resources.

Your top oil companies in the world would be Exxon, Royal Dutch Shell, BP, ConocoPhillips to list a few.

But we can say your analogy can work because what you listed aren't the powerhouses, and thus keep the war contained to themselves.

Now we say Exxon is blue (somewhat more politically correct, for defense), compared to Royal Dutch Shell (we'll call red), because this is a company destroying entire countries in the Africa area with no consideration to their methods of coal-methane mining. Royal Dutch is literally destroying countries and people to get what they want, way more so than Exxon.

Now we put those big goliaths in a head to head battle all expenses paid military units, we would experience what some would refer to as the Apocolypse.

Yeah, man, good point. But I could have sworn Halliburton deals with energy production mainly. But you're right, they do have other services.

I don't know, I just thought two major corporations would be battlin' each other lol.

And I don't think either side is good or evil. Both sides fight for something they believe is theirs, or something of that nature. It becomes a "two sides of the coin" type conflict.

And what's the deal with Royal Dutch Shell? Going by what you said, they shouldn't get away with their wrongful ethics because there's gotta be some international regs that they have to follow...

Also, I can't even imagine when the fighting would ever end!

Halliburton and Dyncorp will always be at each other's throats. I guess the only way the war would end is when they run out of money. Then all bases willl shut down, and then there will be peace...

and the Mulch God would not want that !

>What are they doing?
>>What?
>I said... what are they doing now?
>>God damn it I'm getting so fucking sick of that question.
>Hey, don't bitch at me! You've got the sniper rifle and I can't see shit. I'm not just gonna sit here and play with my dick all da-
>>They're just standing there, talking. The same thing they were doing yesterday. The same thing they were doing when you asked me five minutes ago. It's all they EVER do is stand there and talk. So five minutes from now, when you ask me, 'what are they doing'. The answer is going to be... they're STILL JUST STANDING THERE and THEY'RE STILL JUST TALKING.
>Well... what are they talking about?
>>You know what?

I fucking hate you.
