Less talk, more treats?

Less talk, more treats. Sometimes pictures speak louder than words.

I mentioned a short while ago that we'd brought on another staff member who has been helping out with the pre-beta activities. He's a mysterious man who often goes by the name Eduardo, but he's more commonly known as Phish. He's been spending a lot of time testing in addition to being a utility guy who helps folks with a hodgepodge of tasks. We're happy to have Phish on the FF dev. team.

Although we hit a bit of a snag with the Linux dedicated server crashing issue that was introduced in the recent SDK updates, we've got a pair of windows servers going now so we are getting back on track with the beta plans. More on this soon!

For more chips & salsa, check out our media page.

The Devs are such a bunch of hackers with their translucent flame sprites.

just a clarification- the sniper laser beam is being tweaked so it's only visible within a few degrees...so basically by the time you see it you are pretty much a dead man.

Thats good. While Im in favor of anything that makes a sniper's life harder, all those lines would get annoying. Having them only visible when the dot is near you is more realistic as well. Fun with laser pointers, YOULL GO BLIND!

I agree, but it looks like we shall see the return of the SCATMAN! Every medic shot looks like hes doing a jig. Then again, most moving screenshots do look dorky... Hmm, I guess a video might clear that up... S.O.A.P.

It shuold be visible if there's smoke around... like if a rocket just blasts by the beam and it shows up in the smoke trail... or in the smoke from a grenade blast

Everything looks rather nice, i agree with whoever said some of the poses look a bit weird but im hoping this is just beacuse the screenies were taken at strange times in the player animations. About the dead spy? screeny, does this mean the feign issue was solved (did i miss the thead saying it was?). Also make your first external beta tester write a post or journal about his first FF experience, as a long time TFC player many of us would value his first impressions.

We don't have a finished game yet, and in order to show you things, we can only show what we have. So when we pull together a media release we try to show what we have done, but know that we'll get nitpicked on every single pixel that's involved.
Oh boo hoo. You guys obviously know what you're doing (in terms of mod making) so I think you should suck it up for the sake of attracting a community.

So what does "A dead spy?" mean? You got feigning to work?
