An appeal to medics

Dear Medics,

You now actually have the ability to help your teammates with health in the midst of fierce combat!

Dropping medkits is fun AND educational!

So, please stop ignoring my screams of pain

Sincerely,
Mr. Happy

Wait, do what now? I don't think I get this 'healing' concept you're talking about...

The one thing I'll point out, not to say it's signifigantly harder, but a little harder to heal infections. Normally I right click to pull up the medkit and I'm very much used to that. However now right clicking throws medpacks out. It doesn't entirely hurt the situation, as you would just heal the infected player and have more time to switch to your medpack.

But I can see how this would cause some confusion with players not quite used to the new special ability.

No excuse though, the medics job is to HEAL! If I'm on a server with you ever, you just let me know so long as i'm a medic and I'll find ya.

Heal? WTF Meds are for infecting lolz

I'm having fun experimenting with the med toss. Just remember to say where you're at if there's no med around, though.

It's tricky getting used to the new special abillity key. I keep throwing med packs at enemy snipers.

Itd be nice for the thrown medpacks to be larger / more visible though.

When I play medic I heal as much as I can. too much perhaps. I heal people and they run away. I throw some medkits and people run right past them. Sometimes though I can't find the person calling for help. So everyone be sure to bind z to call for a medic and show your location for example mine is

bind z "saveme;say_team ^4MEDIC! ^9I could use some healin', I'm the %c ^5[^2%h Health - ^1%a Armor - ^3%l^5]"

Thats a good idea, except for one thing. The enemy can also see that and by the time you arrive..dead teammate.. :/

How so?

Say_team? I thought this made the communication not arrive to the enemy team...

I try to avoid medic lately, I'm too used to right clicking for the medpack. I think I'm going to do some rebinding so that it still works that way, but I'd have to load it up as a script otherwise my alternate fire will be different for every character.

I like the medpack dropping idea, but I still can't get used to the alt fire being that. It's not a beef with the game or anything, it's just my inability. But still, it's annoying

I go to get out my med pack and I start sending stuff flying everywhere.

Use Dr. Satan's cleanup.cfg, and then open up medic.cfg and add this

bind "mouse2" "slot1"

bind "whatevs" "+attack2"
