ff_chess_dm BETA1 (playable at 72.232.94.154:27025)
Before you say anything, I know it's ugly but I wanna test gameplay before I put efforts on making it look sexy. If the gameplay sucks, I won't waste my time.
Also, if you want to try it by making a server, you need to enable teamplay in the server config or it will crash the game. This beta1 release was compiled using fast settings so if you find it laggy, don't worry, it's not gonna lag if I compile correctly in the next releases. It works like this: 2 teams, red and blue, you can play 1vs1 or 10vs10, it doesnt matter. Your team gotta capture all 6 squares on your side to win the game. Squares are captured by standing on them for 2 secondes. When it's captured, it lights up, but watch out, the other team can then turn it off by standing on it for 2 secondes. When all 6 squares for your team are lighted up, everything resets and everyone dies so you can start the next round right away. Quick note: the middle squares are inverted (your square is on the enemy side and vice-versa to make it harder to get.) Thanks to Scuzzy for puting the map on his server. I quite like its appearance, and the gameplay sounds fun. I say continue, only so I can see it when it is more polished : )

add some clipping to the edges so you don't die if you fall off

maybe make the map a little larger, and no cliped on the edges = ultra fun. Imagine, 10 solds, 5x5! How fun can that be? |
