Metal Gear Solid 4

I just picked up my copy about two hours ago, it's been fantastic so far.

I understand why some people are questioning Konami's review limitations, nonetheless, so far, I think the game warrants the high scores it is getting.

Oh, and for the first time in a video game (I don't know if any of the previous MGS games have done this), I got to plant a Playboy magazine, watch a bad guy come over to it, open it up and flip through it, then sneak up behind him, knock him out, then stuff him into a locker.

yeah thats been in all the MGSs, although before it was never specified as playboy, just a girly mag.

i want to get this, but i still have gta4 and UT3 to play through. i hate having to multitask games because i end up playing one all the time and forgetting about the other; waste of money

Penny Arcade happens to exactly share my stance on Metal Gear Solid, except that I don't keep buying them.

While not all games have to be big on story, I do think it's good for some, especially Metal Gear Solid. Having played Snake Eater, I can say the game play is better; in Snake Eater, I felt like if I was seen, I was close to screwed. MGS4 lets you play both stealthy and more all out action wise, and struck me is striking a nice balance.

the only one I really, thoroughly enjoyed was the first MGS. two was odd, still decent but not great. three didn't feel right at all, with the camouflaging, getting food and overdoing of the cinematics.

i hate that they took the "realistic" approach, there's no jetpacks, no planes (but choppers are in), i dunno if there's hookers in the game, but im sure there is. but, what doesnt make any sense, is when you fly the chopper over the over, out of the city, you jump out, you hit the water, and nothing happens. yea, thats really realistic.
