Alarm Clock Died ):

My trusty Alarm clock died on me finally. The Hour Button is broke - I cracked it open and tried to fix it, but to no avail. The contacts are just worn out and/or something is shorted out, so now I can't set the time or my alarm.

Soooo now I'm in the market for a new alarm clock. What I need is:

Digital time (no hands and face kinda clocks)
Red LED
24 hour time capable (i.e. 15:42, 13:56, etc.)

Anyone know where I can find 'em? I've been browsing Google without much luck...

I've hit up Amazon.co.uk, but all I've found so far is this - and it would be about $40 + shipping from Britain.

I'd really like to find somethin' like this, but... ya know, local. America.

i like auto time setting ones. you plug it in and it sets the right time. the only problem is i bought one before day light saving changed so i still have to manually adjust the fucker twice a year, grrrr.

anyway, when the power goes off and then comes back on your clock is correct.

.com doesn't have any red LED clocks that are 24 hour capable because Americans think 12 hour time is a smart idea.

At least I haven't found any...

Yeah seriously just go to like Best Buy.

On an unrelated note... my alarm clock gains a minute every day, to a maximum of 40 minutes.

Fortunately we have frequent power outages here.

Sit on my ass at home > 40-90 minutes on a train or bus

We all know you had a "something vibrating" stuffed under your pillow long before you had this clock.

It's nice except for the out of stock part and the probably crazy price that comes with it being Sharper Image and all.

Man...are you rough on equipment or what Ihmhi? I have the same alarm clock I purchased in the military in 1984...though it now pulls time keeping duty in my home office. The clock radio I have has been doing it's thing for 10+ years now...
