i live in canada and no matter what time i check the servers are empty!
is this mod dead?

Its NOT by far dead, but i think most players are enjoying TF2 at the moment. Most mods and source games have suffered player losses to TF2, we expected non the less.

Its also due time for us to release BETA II, we are working harder than ever to make it happen. But we actually didnt want it to drown in TF2 and EP2. So we have put off the release untill the smoke clears after Valves major releases.

Once we have gotten the next test build of BETA II played through by our tester crew then we will be able to tell more exact when it can get releases. WE will also have more info for you about whats new in II.

Warum bist du dir so unsicher? Ich glaube kaum das die Zitate so schwer waren zu verstehen?

Ich finde es gut auf den Punkt gebracht warum oder weshalb TF2 gerade so beliebt ist.

TF2 hat zurzeit nen Boom weil es eben ein neues Spiel ist das überall angepriesen wird. Wird sich alles geben, sobald sie merken das es das war, denn Valve wird dieses Spiel einfach vernachlässigen, wie andere Spiele auch.

Nicht alles ist Gold was glänzt.

Team Fortress 2 hat nun mal schon über 2000 Server.
Fortress Forever mit seinen 300 Server wird da nichts mehr reisen können.

Man muss dazu noch sagen das Fortress Forever kostenlos ist, was eigentlich für eine bessere Verbreitung spricht, war aber nicht so Team Fortress 2 kostet Geld, was eigentlich die Leute abschrecken sollte siehe (Gmod 10).

Das Paradoxe ist nur das die Leute lieber ein Spiel spielen wollen was Geld kostet.

Den Grund wuerde ich gerne wissen...

Ähm... deine Logik hinkt extrem.

FF hat kein Geld für so extrem viel Werbung wie TF2. Von TF2 gibt es Werbespots im TV, überall Trailer, wenn man Steam startet springt es einem ins Gesicht... ist doch klar das es die Leute kennen...

Und weiter: es werden sicher nicht alle die Orange Box wegen TF2 gekauft haben, sondern auch wegen den anderen beiden Spielen. Die werden aber natürlich auch mal TF2 anspielen, wären ja dumm wenn nicht.

Aber die Zahlen werden sinken, sicher nicht in den nächsten 2-3 Monaten, aber bald werden den Leuten das Spiel zu langweilig werden, weil es eben langsamer ist als TFC/FF und es weniger Möglichkeiten gibt (keine Granaten, Sprungtechniken, weniger Waffen...)

Kennst du echt ein Spiel von Valve was auf einmal unbeliebt ist?

CS 1.6 hat nun Werbung im Spiel und die Leute spielen es immer noch als waer es ein Tag alt.

Unwahrscheinlich das das Spiel, die "Masse" verliert.
Da muss schon ein Gewitter kommen.. oder

We are talking about Team Fortress 2 and Fortress Forever.
Mikael think, the players from tf2 will leave the game after 90 days or more.

But i think that is not right, because valve have no game what the peoples have been leaved.

That's to hard to understand in German?

TF2 is mainly to newbies gamers and people enchanted with Valve ads. TFC gamers naturally come to FF, at least for curiosity.

Not everyoneknows every language. While this would be nice, it's not the case. I just assumed that whatever you guys were saying wasn't something you wanted me to understand. If you did you would have spoke my language. In fact I wasnt going to comment until I was sure you would understand it.

I'm not gonna cry about "speak english or go home." Speak whatever language you want. but if you want someone to understand you, then speak their language. You're the one with the point and the message. You guys were gettin' along fine speaking german and that's cool. But like I said, nto knowing what you were saying, I had no real desire to read it other than to check back and see if someone translated.


That said. I expect a lot of people to switch out of TF2. I'm hearing bad things about it constantly. I've got one buddy that I'm sure loves it over FF, but he never read too much into... well I don't think he reads. So whatev.

Ja, CS auf jeden Fall nicht, das ist ja eines der beliebtesten Spiele überhaupt ^^

Aber viele andere, besonders welche wo es Nachfolger gibt (Day of Defeat, Half Life 1 Multiplayer, usw...), halt solche die nicht mehr mit Updates versorgt werden. CS wird nie sterben, das stimmt. Aber TF2 wird ganz sicher nicht die Spieleranzahl behalten die sie jetzt haben. Völlig aussterben wird es auch nicht, aber es wird wieder nur eine kleine, aber feine Spielergemeinde übrig bleiben, wie bei jedem Fortress-Game bis jetzt!

Im playing all the time, and when the server changes level, i look in the forum
