This is a really good point. Kudos for actually bringing empirical evidence into a discussion.
I think at the very least the wide range of sensibilities about this merits an easy in-game switch.
Even better, shortly following that update--so, about 2 years from now
--there could be a poll on the forums asking people what their favorite vox is. The next update, in turn, could make that the default.
