VLC has the 100% WORSE GUI ever. I love MPC, but after days of hell, I couldn't get the 32 or 64 bit version to run on my system with codecs without randomly crashing my whole PC... ya, not fun.
So I now use Winamp for nearly everything. It doesn't read a few codecs, so i have to use WMP
