You really don't have to defend them so zealously. It's not like anyone was clearing out HD space for Black Mesa to be released on Christmas Day. It'll come out when it comes out. If the team wants to offer up more false promises in the meantime, more power to them.
It'll be out when it's out. Anyone who's butthurt about it otherwise cares way too much.
