Well might not be the best map, but you need to consider new players. Small, cramped maps are perfect, because then new players can easily spam and get kills, and maps that encourage engineer and sniper are always good.
Consider that it is also one of the classic TF maps and appears in both TFC and TF2.
I say we need simple maps. Xpress, 2fort, well, dustbowl are good ones.
