Rewatched in slow motion and actually at 1:08 a green pipe starts glowing red shortly after launch but the red soon fades away when it lands.
So I guess green glows red in the air for some reason we'll soon see.

I noticed that too, the pipes arent red but have a red glow on them like the HL2 standard nades.
