It should be the other way.. You grab the flag and push it to the enemies spawn area. Otherwise, once you get the flag you're home free.

I haven't mapped seriously with HL2, but can you make them the equivilents of func_illusionary brushes, and then put clip brushes so that you can walk over them. That's how I would've done it in hl1
