Also crashing while trying to join Trailer's server, about five seconds after joining. Would mdmp files help?

Found and fixed. We'll release a new patch with some fixes and balance changes within the next couple days.

Just going to add the hotfix apparently didn't fix it today, joined Talos, crashed and got that message, got on the second time, and when it changed map, same thing happened.

I crashed once today using 2.43, not too long after joining a server, I was a scout and I quickly jumped around a corner into the face of a sniper who took my head off, and my game froze and replayed the noise of the sniper rifle and my head exploding :/, then I crashed and got the same message as this thread.

It might.. have said 6028, - pure virtual function call. But I'm not certain, could have been 6025.

Freak, go to your Steam\steamapps\<username>\source sdk base folder and upload your most recent hl2_4044_crash_<date,etc>.mdmp. If you give us that, we might be able to see what caused it.

If you have any others that you know were on version 2.43, then feel free to upload them.

I have about 15 dumps but the vast majority are 2.42.1, the reason that crash stood out to me was because I know for a fact I was using 2.43 on the OT server, and it's the first time I've crashed on 2.43. Baring in mind after I rejoined I played without any problems for a good 2 hours or so.

So it seems only rare things set off that crash now.
