Engineer railgun animation issue
The Engineer's hand seems to spasm upwards when he fires his railgun. It's like he's got Tourette's or something.

The railgun shoot code needs a rewrite. It's a mess of server/client interactions, which is causing the animations to bug out big time. It'll get some attention eventually.

Goddamn game code. What is it good for except ruining my beautiful animations?

I'm still experiencing this in 2.43. It is not fixed.

Is it really glitched?, as badly like it was in 2.42?. Because in 2.43 when I shoot the railgun, the recoil animation doesn't look right, it looks like it should be smoother and less abrupt.

You're right, it's not entirely fixed, but it's WAY better than it was in 2.42.
The current glitchiness has to do with prediction errors in the source engine, I believe. Occasionally (much, much more frequently if you have higher ping), the client Fire() function is getting called 2 or 3 times for every time the server Fire() function gets called, which doesn't make any sense. It's a weird one, but I think it might be fixable. We'll see.

I'm also noticing that if I'm charging up the railgun it will sometimes randomly fire before it starts charging again...
