Change some weapons that you begin with when Respaw
So read above

So I playng a bit on my public server and I realized that all new dudes that play as engeneer for the first time use the railgun to deathmatch somneone, I believe thats because thats the weapon you respaw with, so imo the respaw weapon that you beging with should be the main weapons of each classes, so maybe engeneer respaw weapon should be the super shotgun, and etc for other classes maybe that helps newbies a bit.

The proper solution to this "problem" would be to make all the weapons equally useful. I'm sure 99% of all new players have the wherewithal to try all of their weapons and learn which are useful in which situations. This situation happens in every FPS.

Yes but in other fps you have real or pseudo real guns, so in a pseudo realistic game if you spawn with a pistol you know the machine gun does more damage, wich isnt the case in ff with some non- realistic guns. Rail Gun is a powerfull weapon but needs a rly big skill level to be efective in dm, so I stand with my opinion, and its a easy change, probably just need some 1 or 2 lines of code changed.

Short of that, just put slotx in each of your class configs. Scout would be slot2, medic slot3, engi slot3, etc.

Thanks for posting those tips Raynian. Still, this doesn't solve the problem for newcomers who don't know how to make those changes manually.
