Hit sound
Hit sound (ie. Quake 3)
I think it would be cool to have a hit sound like in Quake 3. The red stuff on the crosshair isn't enough for me :).
Also give it an option to turn it off in the fortress options menu,so that people who don't like it can turn it off.

I thought there were hit sounds?
Edit: Nevermind those are kill sounds. Hit sounds would be pretty cool though.

yeah hit sound is pretty useful in q3.. tho has both "crosshair blink when hit" and a hit sound i think

I think it could be potentially useful user feedback, making hits have a more positive, crunchy feel. Might be worth testing.

And I thought the hit detection already added was enough of a wallhack.
The grunting you (SHOULD) hear is plenty. It's not as distincive as it was in TFC. I think it could be made a little bit louder though.
