Titanfall
Titanfall hands-on: hop, skip and double-jump in this fast-paced multiplayer FPS
http://www.pcgamer.com/previews/tita...ame=0&ns_fee=0 The Military (COD) theme isn't very refreshing. In fact it put me right off. I like how they say "fast-paced" ....but it's been built for a console. |
Well, to be fair, it looks like a fairly fast paced console game.
Honestly it looks pretty bad ass. Looks like there are a few mechanics that are way to gimicky and would piss me off. All around looks fun though. |
Looks like it'll be a fun console game.

It looks like someone just tried to make BRINK again. I really wanted BRINK, I thought it looked really cool.
Also, yeah, 'fast-paced', in other words, hey you move slightly faster than call of duty, oh, you still stand still for 10 seconds to shoot someone though. It's not faster paced, it's just higher jumps. It just looks like a singleplayer version (because I've only seen singleplayer, and supposedly singleplayer isn't the main part anyway) of a crossover between BRINK and Blacklight: Retribution, both of which are OK in some respects, but fucking awful in others. BLR had the single worst progression system I've ever seen in a game, in that it was essentially CoD, where you get better weapons from levelling, but without the prestige thing and the large player base, so it took 10 maps to level up, and the higher level you were, you got way OP. BRINK prolly had some broken things for it to be not played and underrated, but I don't know what they are because I still want it. So in other words, it's gonna be shit and I give 0/5 shits about it. And it only comes out on shit consoles and windows. Windows is shit too, but every game is on windows, so you need windows pretty much. gay ass windows. Also there's no such thing as a good console game which involves shooting because they always either have terrible controls or requires the sum of absolutely shit all skill. |
So are all the walls completely clear?
Looks like cod with jetpacks and giant robots. I'm bored already and I've never played it. |

Judging solely from this trailer, it is lacking originality and character. Did teenagers make this? Because they tend to be the ones who think this "serious" military style is cool. Quote:

The problem with sticks is it's so difficult to turn them slightly.
You either push it all the way or not at all. A mouse on the other hand, you completely control how fast it moves. Sticks may be better than buttons, but mouses are better than sticks. It's why twin-sticks and racing games work better with a pad. |

I'd think steering with a mouse would be too twitchy... :P
Wheels only make sense with a pedal set too, and all that is huge and means you have to be further away from the screen (for a PC, anyway), and just takes away from the experience. I'd rather just use my PS3 controller with MotioninJoy to make games think it's an Xbox pad. :P EDIT: Dayum, another thing brought miles off-topic with the FF community. Hell, it's in the off-topic section for a reason, right? |
So the BETA came out for this, and various YTrs are hyping it up so all the little children subscribe.
It's exactly what I thought. You run slightly quicker than CoD, but then every 3 minutes you get mechs and so the game goes to shit because about 6 normal people need to shoot it with the obligatory RPG strapped to everyone's bollocks nowadays in FPSes to bring it down. (oh and it looks like cod ghosts + hawken - the cool looking hawken places) To finish: - Titanfall sucks. - Infinity Ward sucks. - CoD sucks. - 40% of children are idiots. - Idiots suck. - Spawn camping sucks. - Noob games by noob devs for noobs suck. |
CoD doesn't suck. New age CoD sucks, thanks

sry dont kill me thats what i meant
(offtopic: you tried the cz-75 yet in csgo yet, the most redunculus weapon ever - it's hilarious, you just wait for someone then spray 12 bullets in their face but only really works in an enclosed area) |
