TF2 HUD icons?
I'm asking here because I'm hoping someone who tinkers with game files and whatnot would know the answer to this question.
What exactly are the TF2 weapon kill icons made up of? .vtfs? For the uninformed, FF's weapon kill icons (you know, stuff like Skanky KNIFE Ihmhi) are basically a font. That's how it was in many Source games and most HL games/mods. But nowadays, TF2 has all these fancy colors and stuff in their icons, and as far as I'm awares a font can only be one color. So how the heck do they do it? |
Yup, they're .vtfs. Day of Defeat Source does the same.

Would it even be possible to have kill icons be in .vtf format on the Ep1 engine?

You don't have to remind me of what i was saying. |
Bully, you're making no sense whatsoever.

He's saying DoD:S and TF2 are pretty much the same game.
He's got a point, actually. |
Thank god Circ is on my wavelength.
|
It's honestly easier to list their differences than their similarities.
|
Well sweet. When we're on OB we can pimp out our hud icons a bit.
I nominate Circ to do this because his art is awesome. He's the guy who done did the objective icon for FF. |
LOOOOOL WOOOOT? You already ported FF to OB? O_o
