So I gave up on Vista...
...and turned back to XP.
I just had enough of it's bloating RAM-sucking, driver-hating fits it threw at me, and when I installed GTA IV and I kept getting BSOD's I just had it. So who else gave up and went back to XP? |
I didn't think Vista got BSOD's. I thought Microsoft programmed it to get that glazed "Deer in the headlights" look in an attempt to boost Vista's popularity with the hunting crowd.

I'm using XP 64-bit and I'm on the fence about switching to Vista or waiting for Windows 7. It's a hard choice...
|
I'd definitely wait for Windows 7... I heard rumors that it's almost just around the corner because Vista was such a flop kinda like ME was but not as bad.
|
I hope windows 7 is the new XP.
|
The "RAM hogging" is actually Vista allocating memory to enhance performance.
Fucking ironic isn't it? |

fanboy.

Anyways, I just wish Microsoft would build their new OS with performance in mind instead of eye candies. I bet that's not going to happen before Google puts out his own OS.
|
I always thought Google was a hermaphrodite.

Windows performance of late, and my brothers new macbook have permanently turned me off Windows. When I get my new laptop it'll be a mac for sure, and when my desktop fries, I'll go for a mac too.
I can't understand why Windows has shot itself in the foot so badly. Idiots. |
FF on a mac?

Had Vista and thought it sucked balls so my soon to be bought new machine will be coming with XP.
|
I love vista. Have had no problems /w it, driver support for my hardware, or any issues with memory. I have 4gigs o' ram, and everything is quite fast.
Overall, a pleasurable experience. |

If you want an OS that doesn't suck, but don't want to pay for Apple's overpriced (but cool) crap, roll with Linux. It's free. |
I'm running Linux right now. I'm hoping to get the whole Unity VMWare setup with XP in the next week or so, though.
