MarioFortress???? What??

Wow I just looked at this and it sounds really weird.

You basically paint the world your team's colour to win, but you have limited ammo so you have to turn into a squid occasionally on your own colour and you can crawl up walls and... Just what the hell is this?

(you can't just say 'made by nintendo = mario, shooting game = fortress' IMO ;P)

movement skills, fast paced, very clear visibility, projectile weapons needing prediction/dodging INTERACTION, objective based gamemode(s?) in which death hath no sting?

BUT do we get classes and Where is the Enemy Flag? [90 50] [Yard] :(

I've been waiting for N to make FORTRESSKART!11 for years.

Now THAT would be awesome!

The more I read about splatoon the more I think it might actually have a chance of being good...
