Spectacular FF

I didn't see it posted anywhere else, so I thought I'd make a topic. I found this on Youtube today, and I thought I'd share. This video is very good, I like the transitions, and although it's youtube quality, it shows what some of the boundaries that can be broken with most other videos I've seen. Hardly any lag during each clip, and the music choice is pretty good.

I saw that there was alot of slow motion in some parts, thats due to his max_fps not beeing synced with his host_framerate. The clip is also very dark, need some gamma adjustments, but nice actions.

Tested it today and i can make a new movie thats near +/- 90 % ingame speed (100 % is nearly imposible), what i did in console i typed host_framerate 60, then max_fps 60 and in virtualdub i set the fps to 60 fps. The render in sony vegas was awesome, nearly like in game.

cool

I think the slow motion in this video was used really effectively. I wish the other parts were true in-game speed, but hopefully that'll get sorted.

Really nice video. With some gamma adjustments and fixing the "normal" speed clips, it'd be even better.

Sweet video, bit dark though but besides that I liked it

Love it. And some nice skills shown off!

I have a sneak previeuw how it would like if you use my previous mentioned settings ;)

And thats only youtube Quality, when the wmv. (not mp4 :D) comes out it will be 5 times better quality!

Ryu will soon release a movie, that one is the best FF promotion video ever made, noone could even get close to that tbh :p

This litle video looks good. But needs 1. Gamma adjustments 2. Need to fix the frame rate settings 3. You should use in game sound

Again, nice actions (the airshots), nice song ;) and short whish makes it not lose the interest of the audience.

Keep up the good work who ever made this

Your technique is indeed awesome!

It was just a sneak previeuw ;) That movie you recomended is not how FF movies should be made tbh (its nice and fun, and people are freely to do what they want to). I dont know why but the stream lags, maybe it isnt the case with the source file. But you shall see :p There is better work on the way, way better :)

I think you misunderstood him Mase, he was referring to the technical aspects of recording, as mentioned in caleb's post. Not the style of movie.
