I heard somewhere they got rid of bhop? Or maybe that was planned only for MP? Pretty lame. I never played HL, and I'm sure it's a fun game, but bhop is really the only thing that could entice me to play it. Watching people like quadrazid(sp?) do HL speed runs is something else man.

So the plan to recreate a game on a less dated engine took so long that said engine is now dated as well.

Yep, this is true. On a multiplayer level, this game is a complete waste of time. It had the potential to be a fast paced DM game but now its just a joke like TF2.

As a single player game it will still be fun though.

if the game ended as freeman jumped into the portal, it would have been fine.

it was still part of the game where you had to kill the FINAL BOSS and to CHOOSE AN ENDING which FINISHED THE GAME.

Of 17 chapters, the last 4 chapters will be in a second release. That gives you 13 chapters to play and have fun in. Is it REALLY such a horrible thing? The second release is going to take AT LEAST a year, probably much much longer. I don't want to play 3/4s a game then wait a whole damn year to get the ending. It's already taken you 8 years, there's no rush. Finish the damn game.
