HL2DM Free if you have an ATI card
 

I mentioned this last night to someone.


If you have an ATI card you can get HL2DM for free, which i believe will give you the SDK which will allow you to play Fortress Forever if you're not already playing.

I believe if you have the orange box, you don't get HL2DM so this would allow you to get it.

You will need to access it with either IE or Firefox IE Tab

That would be why I said I believe. Seeing as how I already own HL2DM and ATI I never bothered to test it out.

Orange Box doesn't. I bought it, got the 5 usual games and HL2: DM via the NVidia offer.

i got the black box with my ati card, tf2,portal, and hl2 i guess...i dunno, but i know i got it...

I think the ATI card only gives you hl2dm and lost coast, it doesn't actually give you source SDK or SDK base. So you still cannot play FF with it.

And yes, it includes Source SDK and will let you play Fortress Forever. My friend didn't own any HL2 games and he got it thru this method.

yes, i did, and i know for a fact you need to actually buy it, not get it thru the offers. Also, i got HL2: DM when i first played FF, bought it, worked fine, and i've bought a ton more games since then

Now it is possible that Nvida/free steam games come with SDK Base. The ATI offer didn't.
