Vent and Win7/Vista - Fixing the broken bind issues

So yesterday I decided to play League or Legends (a free DotA re-make) while playing vent. However, NONE of my vent binds would work in LoL. Eventually I figured out the issues. LoL need to run as admin (because it has a built-in updater). However, Vent was running as my main user. Vent didn't have the rights to catch the keys within LoL because it was running at a higher level.

Running Vent as Admin helps fix this issues. As admin, it can catch anything and thus fixes the issues of not being able to talk while in programs that are running as admin.

I hope this helps others!

It does. I was having to switch focus to vent on other games that were running on admin. Thanks.

Yea, running most programs that seem broke as an Admin always fixes it. And if that doesn't, set the compatibility back a couple versions of Windows (Right Click -> Properties) and that usually fixes whatever Running as Admin doesn't. For example, QuickTime streams only show the video in my Firefox (Apple doesn't feel the need to make Quicktime accessible to Windows XP 64 bit for some reason  ) and it doesn't show the controls, so watching Quicktime streams (porn) was extremely difficult because I couldn't change the volume, pause it, go back, etc. Pushing Firefox's compatibility back makes it work perfectly.

That quicktime shit also drives me crazy! Thanks!
